1. Current paid-access products
| Product | Current price | Activation |
|---|---|---|
| General Contractor Limited 3-Bid upgrade | $49 one-time per selected project trade | After BuildersBids verifies successful Stripe payment. |
| Standard Subcontractor trade access | $100 one-time per selected project trade | After BuildersBids verifies successful Stripe payment and available inventory. |
| Limited 3-Bid Subcontractor trade access | $125 one-time per selected project trade | After BuildersBids verifies successful Stripe payment and an available limited-access position. |
Prices may change prospectively. The product, amount, currency, and trade displayed in the applicable checkout control the transaction.
2. Stripe processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered into Stripe’s secure payment interface. BuildersBids does not receive or store the complete card number or CVC. A bank authentication step may appear when required by the card issuer.
3. Activation and checkout reservations
Starting checkout does not itself activate access. Access activates only after the server verifies the completed Stripe Checkout Session, expected product, amount, currency, project, trade, account, and available inventory. A temporary checkout reservation may protect an available position while a payment is in progress.
If Stripe confirms payment but BuildersBids cannot finalize access, do not pay again. Contact support and provide the Checkout Session reference shown by the website or receipt.
4. General refund rule
Payments are nonrefundable after purchased access is activated or used. Access is considered used when, for example, a user views or downloads protected plans, obtains protected contact information, submits a proposal or bid, communicates through paid-access functionality, or otherwise uses the purchased project-trade access.
5. Transactions eligible for review
BuildersBids may review a request involving:
- A duplicate charge for the same intended purchase.
- An unauthorized charge reported promptly by the account holder.
- A verified technical failure that prevents the purchased access from activating and that BuildersBids cannot reasonably correct.
- A refund required by applicable law.
Review does not guarantee a refund. BuildersBids may request identity, account, transaction, device, receipt, and usage information needed to investigate.
6. Matters that do not qualify
- The user did not win a bid or receive a construction contract.
- A General Contractor changed, delayed, suspended, or cancelled a project.
- A user misunderstood plans, scope, measurements, licensing requirements, deadlines, or project conditions.
- A user purchased the wrong trade or project despite accurate checkout information.
- The user no longer wants the access after activation or use.
- The user was suspended for fraud, abuse, unlawful conduct, unauthorized disclosure, or policy violations.
7. How to request review
Submit the request promptly through the Contact & Support Center using “Billing or refund question,” or email support@buildersbids.com. Include:
- Account email and company name.
- Project and trade.
- Amount and date.
- Stripe Checkout Session, Payment Intent, or receipt reference.
- A clear explanation and supporting information.
8. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are normally returned through Stripe to the original payment method. Bank and card-network processing time is outside BuildersBids’ control. BuildersBids may reverse related access, payment records, commissions, or benefits when a refund is approved.
9. Chargebacks and disputes
Contact BuildersBids before filing a chargeback so the transaction can be investigated. BuildersBids may provide Stripe and the card issuer with account, checkout, consent, access, download, bid, communication, and transaction records relevant to a dispute. Fraudulent or knowingly false disputes may result in suspension and lawful recovery efforts.
10. Test transactions
Authorized internal test projects and Stripe sandbox transactions are not public marketplace purchases. Only authorized BuildersBids test accounts may use those workflows.
