1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files or identifiers stored by a browser. Similar technology may store session, security, or preference information needed for a website or payment service to operate.
2. Essential BuildersBids technology
- Session and login: maintains an authenticated account session and role-based access.
- Security and CSRF: helps protect forms and requests from unauthorized cross-site submission.
- Workflow state: remembers temporary checkout, verification, notification, and form state.
- Preferences: may remember limited interface or account choices.
These technologies are necessary to provide the service. Blocking them may prevent login, account verification, form submission, checkout, or secure access from working.
3. Stripe checkout technology
Stripe may use cookies, device information, and similar technology to load payment fields, authenticate a cardholder, prevent fraud, process payment, and comply with legal obligations. Stripe’s processing is governed by its own notices and terms.
4. Advertising and cross-site analytics
As of this notice’s effective date, BuildersBids has not intentionally installed advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising analytics on BuildersBids.com. BuildersBids will update this notice before intentionally adding nonessential tracking that materially changes these practices.
5. Browser controls
Most browsers allow users to view, delete, or block cookies. Browser controls vary. Deleting or blocking essential cookies may log the user out, erase temporary workflow state, or prevent protected features from working.
6. Changes
This notice may be updated as technology or service providers change. Material changes will be identified by a revised effective date.
